Engagement photoshoot at the sunset – Ola & Fryderyk
It most certainly wasn’t love at first sight.
As they both admit, their relationship was built on extraordinary friendship. Long conversations, sharing secrets they would never have shared with anyone else – that’s where it all began. In the course of time their friendship started to turn into true love, something one of a kind – which despite being in several relationships – they had never experienced before.
Planning to elope – the dream elopement
Now engaged, they are dreaming of a romantic elopement – an intimate wedding ceremony of just the two of them, away from everydayness and commotion. They are aware that elopements can be considered a non-standard choice but that’s what they prefer. So although they think that their close ones can hold the lack of invitation against them, there is no negotiation. They want to focus on their unique connection which they needed to fight for from the very beginning and which they built – together – not without any trouble or effort.
Check out the photographs from their sunset engagement session with which they wanted to celebrate their engagement and connection.
Ola & Fryderyk agree that they are so different but so alike – proving that opposites attract. Differences in personalities are being overcome by shared outlook on life, always making important decisions together and listening to each other’s needs.
Extraordinary combination – an introvert and an extrovert, two people who understand each other without words, and keep motivating each other to move forward. To be more precise: Fryderyk – always level-headed & calm and Ola – outgoing, energetic, passionate – keep encouraging spontaneity in her fiancé. She wants to live in the moment, keeps throwing herself in his arms when he keeps telling her to wait, slow down, think before you do something. I told you I loved you a second ago, nothing has changed! 🙂
The story of relationship and engagement
They met at work, at one of the Warsaw theatres. The most common question they are asked very often is: are you actors?
To which the answer is no – theatre is not just actors, but all the people who make the functioning of this incredible institution possible. Fryderyk acts as a key grip and a stage manager, works to create the required set and has overall responsibility for stage management and the smooth execution of a theatrical production. It is a very responsible duty which often requires calmness and ability to work under pressure. Hence he is the right person for the job, great at dealing with stressful situations.
Ola works in front of the theatre’s scene, on the foyer. She takes care of the audience’s comfort, offers help and gladly engages in conversations about every play. Each spectator’s opinion is important to her and even if she disagrees with someone’s opinion she won’t stop smiling. That’s because she believes that the most important thing in the theatre is the person visiting it.
Despite significant differences of personalities they believe there are no other, more compatible couples than the two of them. They hardly ever argue – and if they do they make up right away. One person returns the other one’s smile, they both say I love you. They are over the moon about having each other and imagining being with anyone else is unthinkable for both. So their recipe is easy, they say – take care of one another and try to read between the lines sometimes.
Something like a free Sunday afternoon happens so rarely in the lives of these two theatre maniacs that they decided something cool had to be done about it. That’s why they wanted to go for a relaxing stroll and then to be captured with the beautiful sunset in the background.
Love… it’s easy when you try hard enough.
I loved photographing these awesome people.
