Daisy and Harry flew in from Indonesia with one simple brief: “We’d like photos that feel like our favourite walks – nothing posed, nothing formal.” September delivered perfect conditions: gentler light, quieter lanes and just a hint of autumn colour starting to creep over the city’s ivy walls – perfect day for a casual couple session in the city.

It was amazing to get a booking for a photoshoot in Scotland from this sweet couple from Indonesia. They were the absolute cutest.

Scotland was one of their honeymoon destinations, next to Iceland and Switzerland. They had an amazing idea to celebrate their wedding with a trip around so many beautiful countries. We chatted a lot about the beauty of Iceland, country which takes one of the top places on my favourite places in the world list.

Edinburgh Old Town and Dean Village couple photos

We wandered around Edinburgh Old town, then headed to Stockbridge for some more photographs on Circus Lane. I love that street, it’s really magical despite its unbelievable popularity. Daisy and Harry loved that spot as well.

Our next stop was Dean Village. I can never stop falling in love with the wonderful, dark colours of Edinburgh in that peaceful area of the city. And I love showing my clients the most gorgeous sights in the Scottish capital.

If you’re visiting Edinburgh, then Dean Village should be on top of your must-see list. Cobblestoned roads, waterways and lovely little houses by the river. No place is more perfect for a wander around town.
