Christmas wedding at Prestonfield House Edinburgh

As Edinburgh wedding photographer I cannot imagine a more perfect Edinburgh wedding venue for a winter wedding than Prestonfield House.

Beautifully decorated, cosy atmosphere, Christmas vibe – it’s a perfect place to get married. Erin and Mac made the perfect choice when deciding to tie the knot at Prestonfield House.

I’m a big fan of winter weddings in Scotland. Therefore, when my clients such a stunning wedding venue to say I do at I’m always over the moon.

Prestonfield House looks absolutely magical during winter. No wonder so many people want to get married here! The wedding venue books up very quickly in advance so if you’re considering it as a potential wedding venue, I suggest you get in touch with them quickly!

As Edinburgh wedding photographer, I loved the incredible decorations of Prestonfield House – they photographed beautifully. Every room was filled with Christmas trees, wreaths, candles, bonfires and flowers. What is more, Erin and Mac’s dinner table was set up beautifully as well. Everything was incredibly well colour-coordinated and all wedding elements were matching.

Before the ceremony Erin and I focused on her bridal portraits which was a lot of fun too. We used the natural, soft afternoon light outside for bridal portraits by the window in Erin’s bridal suite. She was wearing a gorgeous long-sleeved wedding dress from Emma Roy Bridal in Edinburgh and a charming headpiece.

Again, I cannot stress enough how elegant and charming the decor of the rooms was. I have to add that the staff was incredibly polite and helpful when it comes to helping me as a photographer set everything up for photos and keeping me informed. Did I mention that you can find peacocks and highland cows on the ground of Prestonfield House too if you’re lucky?

To sum up, Prestonfield House in Edinburgh is a perfect indoor venue for your Edinburgh wedding. Especially for micro-weddings and elopements!
