Couple photoshoot in the Scottish highlands

Olivia contacted me back in April 2022 after finding some of my recent work on Pinterest. She dropped me a message on behalf of herself and her fiancé Wes asking about my availability for a couple photoshoot in the Scottish highlands. With their dream being to celebrate their recent engagement with a couple photoshoot in Glencoe, the heart of the highlands of Scotland, I booked them in for a session right away!

They were both super excited to be traveling again since the pandemic had prevented them from traveling as much as they had wanted to.  With their last big trip being a road trip across America, they now wanted to explore beauty of some European destinations.

As someone who’s now planning her own American road trip, I was excited to hear about their memories from that trip! So they told me all about their travels. As a couple who love nature, walking and hiking, seeing beautiful landscapes and national parks they felt like Scottish highlands would be the most perfect spot for their engagement photoshoot.

The four of us (including my sister who assisted me at the photoshoot) hiked up the mountainside thru the wind and the rain to chase the most stunning views for Olivia and Wes’s engagement photos.

As much as I know that some couples dread the idea of heavy rain during their sessions, Olivia and Wes were not one of these couples at all! And they loved the experience. So the weather did not hinder their spirits.

Consequently, with their ready-for-anything attitude and rainy Scottish evening, the photos turned out moody, dreamy and romantic – everything Olivia and Wes had wished for.

Additionally, you can’t go wrong with choosing summer for your adventure in Scotland – everything is gloriously green and absolutely beautiful. I might be biased since my favourite colour is green, but I bet that when you see it for yourself you’ll agree with me! So really, summer might be just the perfect time for a couple photoshoot in the Scottish highlands!

After I delivered the final gallery to Olivia and Wes, they feedback blew my mind:
