Edinburgh alpaca farm photoshoot – Edinburgh photographer

Gosia

It started inconspicuously.

I was an opponent of dating apps when one day my best friend encouraged me to install Tinder. Yeah I know, how cheesy. Love in the 21st century.

I think the most beautiful things happen unexpectedly, without any signs. I mean I never expected a person met on the Internet to change my life diametrically, like he did.

So it started with an ordinary exchange of words – Kris was the very first guy who texted me and basically he was the only person I talked to, sounds like fate, right?

First meeting, first look in the eyes and I knew it – I found what I was waiting for. Kris totally charmed with his smile, a funny accent when speaking Polish and his sense of humour. He is literally the sweetest and smartest person I’ve ever met (I know – again – sounds cheesy) but that’s the true. The best part is that every single day I discover a new thing which makes me love him more and more.

Of course there are also some less beautiful but equally true things, let’s be honest, every human relationship has shadows and moments of weakness and we have them too, arguments about little things and overcoming differences in characters between us. Despite it all that we always find a way to get along.

I am a person who likes analyse everything hundred times and he is someone who takes action without thinking. Maybe that’s why we make such a happy relationship?  Because in everyday situations we complement each other.

If someone asks me if it’s worth trying to find happiness on dating apps I will definitely say yes, yes!

I think that in the course of time and development of technology, the perception of dating standards is changing. Or maybe there are no rules in love? The only thing that matters is the final result such as two people who make each other happy every day, find one another.

Kris

When I came home after our first meeting the first thing I did was deleting my account on Tinder. When Gosia asked me why I did it, I answered briefly “I already found what I was looking for”.

You asked what I appreciate about her the most. The fact that I can see care and love in her eyes when I come back home after work, her big heart filled with love and kindness. Her smile that disarms me. And knowing that she is always next to me when I need her.

My definition of love is not only lofty confessions, but little everyday things making up the whole, making dinner for her or messaging and checking if everything is fine with her. Because when you love someone you put them first, above everything else.

So, our story has been going on for almost a year now – and I hope that it’s just the beginning of our adventure.

Location: BobCat Alpacas, Edinburgh, Scotland

Edinburgh and Scotland are full of amazing locations which create an amazing photo opportunities for photographers. Bob and Cat’s alpaca farm in Edinburgh is certainly one of them – situated at the foot of the picturesque Pentland Hills is one of my favourite places in the Scottish capital.

I would definitely recommend the alpaca farm in Bonaly, Edinburgh if you’re ever visiting, or looking for an idea on how to spend a lovely weekend outdoors. Myself and my England-based photographer Anna had the pleasure of talking to Bob, very friendly and knowledgeable owner of the farm, and it was a truly great and informative experience. Especially for all animal lovers.
