Autumn is without a doubt a magical time for photographers.

I love doing portrait shoots and photographing weddings during this time of the year.

Although Scottish autumn means that it gets colder and colder every day… I totally embrace it.

It offers so much. Beautiful colours everywhere, cosy feels of brunching with friends in a nice café, putting on nice and warm jackets. But leaves on the trees changing colours to red, yellow and brown is what us wedding photographers love most. So I bet that even if you’re not a wedding but a portrait or family photographer you must adore this time of the year.

Natalie is an undergrad student of Universities of Stanford and Edinburgh. She really wanted to create some memories during her stay in Scotland. So she decided that photographs would be the most amazing memory to remind her of her wonderful time here.

When Natalie’s mum booked an Edinburgh portrait session for her I was super excited. I can never get enough of photographing people especially when Edinburgh looks so magical!

Natalie’s beautiful red hair looked so gorgeous within the landscapes and atmosphere of the autumnal Scottish capital.

Yes, Scotland has so much to offer photographers and their clients! We wandered around Edinburgh’s Old Town, walked around Royal Mile and took a little warm-up tea break in the middle of our shoot. It was great that I had a chance to show Natalie around a few spots in Edinburgh that she had never visited before.

When I sent Natalie a link to her gallery, she couldn’t have been happier with the results. That also includes Natalie’s mum who’s also a photographer! And I couldn’t have been happier with such amazing feedback.
