If you’re looking for a small but atmospheric Edinburgh wedding venue, a place where time stands still – you can’t go wrong with the New Library at the Royal College of Physicians. Add fall colours to the mix and you get an explosion of romantic feels, making you feel like you’re in a movie.
It was a particularly special place for two doctors – Eshen and Zong, who decided it was just the perfect place to exchange their vows.
New Library is full of large volumes of old medical books creating a mystique vibe throughout the whole venue. Doesn’t it look (and feel) magical?

I do admit though, New Library is one of my favourite elopement venues in Edinburgh. Just because not many places can beat its charm! And it feels like you found yourself in an old library at Hogwart’s.
Scotland library wedding venue
Libraries are very unique wedding venues. When walking in, you can almost say you can smell pages of old books mixed with dusty shelves. Although it’s not for everyone – every bookworm or an avid reader will appreciate the tranquility of this place.
Although RCP’s New Library is perfect for elopements, it also hosts bigger weddings. And I’ve been lucky to get to photograph six of different ceremonies at this library, believe it or not!

We were so lucky to have her to capture the beautiful moments of our private ceremony in the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh (RCPE). As doctors in training, exchanging our vows in the gorgeous building was extra meaningful to us. We absolutely enjoyed the time in Edinburgh just all by ourselves and were so glad that Natalia was there to capture the perfect moments. Which will now last forever! Natalia made us feel at ease all the time so that we were able to just be our true selves.
