There is no better place for an intimate wedding for two than Scotland. Which is why Natalie and Steve chose the breathtaking scenery of Glen Etive to exchange their vows on a misty, atmospheric autumn day. With a beautiful elopement ceremony at the foot of Buachaille Etive Mòr at the bank of River Coupall, this wedding could not have been more memorable.
In terms of location of their intimate wedding ceremony for two, Natalie and Steve chose the bank of River Coupall, with a view at Buachaille Etive Mòr. It was a warm, misty day – perfect for a Glen Etive elopement in Scotland. And it was a perfect, secluded place to exchange their vows and tie the knot in marriage.
What was special about this intimate wedding for two in Glen Etive? First of all, Natalie and Steve did their own location scouting prior to the ceremony. They decided they wanted to find a place that will be beautiful, but also one that doesn’t appear in all the elopement photos of other couples eloping in the area. It turned out to be a perfect choice – and I didn’t even know this place existed! Not far off the Glen Etive road, the walk to the exact location took us less than 5 minutes from the spot where we parked our cars. Therefore, if you love the idea of stunning mountain views, but you’re not keen on extreme hikes on your wedding day, then the banks of River Coupall could be the one!
Natalie and Steve stayed at the ideally located for a wedding for two Kingshouse Hotel and since we were driving to Glen Etive right after they got ready, it took us less than 5 minutes to get there. The stunning bride, Natalie, did her own hair and make-up which left me very impressed. The stylish bouquet, ideal for an outdoor autumn elopement, was put together by Garlands Florist in Edinburgh.
And finally, the romantic ceremony was conducted by the kilted humanist Ashton Easter.
Glen Etive intimate elopement wedding for two in Scotland
After their elopement ceremony, we drove all the way to the end of Glen Etive road to explore the area. Natalie loved the idea of having her elopement photos taken at Loch Etive. And the scenery was incredible. Mist and clouds over the mountain tops, calm water surface and peaceful atmosphere of seawater loch.
Glen Etive elopements are definitely for couples who are keen on the idea of exploring beautiful views off the beaten path.
