First of all, I couldn’t be happier with the fact that this great couple from Alabama, US chose me as their Glencoe elopement photographer.
John and Jordan decided to elope in the heart of the Scottish highlands – in Glencoe. Although they had already been married on paper, they wanted to have an outdoor elopement ceremony to celebrate their love. As they didn’t have the chance to do that before, due to the pandemic. Whereas signing the marriage register is really just paperwork, elopement can truly reflect your values and connection with each other. Plus, mountain elopement was their dream.
They loved every minute of their special elopement day, despite the rain, wind and cold. Scotland mountain elopements are best choice for couples with adventurous spirits, since the weather in the highlands is unpredictable and ever-changing. So a sense of adventure is a must-have when eloping in the highlands of Scotland.
You need to be prepared for anything in order to enjoy it!

Outdoor Scottish mountain elopement
To start with, mountain elopement of John and Jordan was misty, atmospheric and incredibly romantic. Secondly, it was filled with emotions. There were tears, smiles and laughs. And it was a true privilege to be able to document these special moments in Scotland for them.
They exchanged vows at the iconic viewpoint in Glencoe, overlooking Three Sisters mountains.
Aren’t mountain elopements in Scotland incredibly beautiful?
After their ceremony at the Study viewpoint, we wandered around lots of beautiful spots in Glencoe afterwards. These included Glen Etive road, Loch Etive and Rannoch Moor.
I might say it a lot, but Scotland elopement photographer really is the best job in the world. I get to meet great people from all over the world, hang out with them and photograph them within the stunning scenery of Scotland. So I definitely can’t complain!
Working with John and Jordan was a dream come true. They were really amazing clients – kind, curious and so enjoyable to hang out with.
