Victoria and Andrew’s engagement session in Peak District was very rainy and atmospheric. As much as I love a golden sunset, in this case light rain was a blessing. It added so much wonderful colour to each of the photographs we took.
Peak District engagement photos
I love couples who are not afraid of a little rain!
Don’t let bad weather ruin your engagement photos. Also, light rain doesn’t need to be a bad thing. What is more, I love shooting in the rain. I think it adds a very atmospheric element to the photographs. In this case Victoria and Andrew’s enthusiasm about the photoshoot was infectious which made it so great to work with them.
Some people say that rainy days are when photographers are supposed to head out and shoot!
Rainy engagement photoshoot – tips
When it rains during your pre-wedding or wedding photoshoot, remember to dress for the weather. A pair of wellies and a raincoat is a great combo, you can always take them off once you have arrived to your destination. Embrace the rain, there is no need to reschedule the photoshoot unless it rains really heavily.
Also, it might be a good idea to bring some plastic bags in case you want to sit in the grass and not get your bums wet.
What else? Remember to bring umbrellas!
And trust your photographer – with a good engagement or wedding photographer coordinating your photoshoot, you will have nothing to worry about. They will want you to feel comfortable and at ease during your photo session.
