The Couple & Their Why

Amie and Clinton first fell for Edinburgh on a rainy weekend break, so a spring micro-wedding that embraced the weather felt perfect. After a lightning-quick ceremony inside City Chambers they slipped down to Portobello for a windswept stroll along the sand.

Wee Road-Trip to the Coast

Fifteen minutes and three hair-pins later we were un-zipping garment bags on the promenade beside the famous beach huts, after their short and sweet City Chambers ceremony. March wind? Check. Hungry seagulls? Double check. A pale, diffused light that makes skin tones look like velvet? Absolutely.

We timed it perfectly: rolling clouds gave us a giant softbox while the North Sea tossed white-caps behind them. They kicked off shoes, chased waves and wrote their initials in the foam. Every frame felt like a still from a Scottish road-movie.

It was a fairytale day and both Amie and Clinton looked incredible, bride in elegant white gown and the groom in his red British Army uniform. Can you think of anything more romantic than this amazing adventure?
