I absolutely adored photographing Bria and Thomas’s gorgeous and intimate Riddle’s Court elopement.
The scenery couldn’t have been more stunning, with the venue being located in the heart of Old Town.
Bria and Thomas decided to do things a little bit differently and in an untraditional way – we had all their wedding photos done before their ceremony. The reason why they wanted to do it this way was they wanted to spend time with their guests right after the ceremony, without leaving them alone for the duration of their couple photoshoot.

Riddle’s Court has quickly become one of my favourite Edinburgh elopement venues.
So why should you consider Riddle’s Court for your elopement?
Firstly, it will be your dream venue if you’re looking for a relaxed, but unique setting to tie the knot.
Secondly, it’s filled with history. The building itself is an old merchant’s tenement hidden off Royal Mile.
What is more, it’s not only a gorgeous and unique building, but also boasts an abundance of natural light, historic decor and lots of old books which give this venue extraordinary appeal. And natural light is so important from photography perspective, in order to get you the most stunning wedding photos.
Fireplaces, panelled rooms, big windows overlooking Victoria Street, old books and historic art. The whole venue is filled with historic charm.
Finally, the venue’s location couldn’t have been more easily accessible and central. With your elopement at Riddle’s Court, you’re just short walking distance away from Edinburgh’s iconic spots. Such as the Vennel Steps, Victoria Street, Royal Mile, Writer’s Museum, St Giles Cathedral and many, many more.
Which is why if you’re choosing to book Riddle’s Court as your elopement venue, you’re making a great choice!

Edinburgh is one of the most atmospheric cities in the world for a small, meaningful celebration – from panelled rooms filled with old books and Victoria Street views, to the Vennel Steps, Writer’s Museum and the cobbled closes of the Royal Mile just outside the door.
