My October engagement photoshoot with Michela and Gabriel was a blast. When contacting me for the first time they mentioned that they would love to focus on the Old Town area in Edinburgh and have it captured during their Scotland couple shoot.

Michela and Gabriel flew from Switzerland to visit Edinburgh – their favourite city. They live near Zürich now but they have lots of fond memories about living in the Scottish capital.
They loved studying in Edinburgh and really wanted to stay and live in Scotland. Unfortunately though they didn’t manage to find jobs here after graduating which is why they relocated back to Zürich.
We met super early for their Edinburgh engagement session. I’m definitely not an early bird, but I’m always 100% dedicated to creating amazing photographs for my clients. Michela and Gabriel were staying at their friends’ a bit further away from Edinburgh city centre but didn’t mind waking up early on a Sunday morning.
What can I say about their engagement photos? I loved working with them. And thanks to our teamwork and getting out of bed so early to be prepared as soon as possible we managed to … see Victoria Street completely empty. But I won’t be exaggerating when I say that sort of things NEVER happens. EVER. Since I moved to Scotland I’ve worked with my clients on literally hundreds of engagement photographs in Edinburgh. And only this time we were lucky enough to have Edinburgh’s Victoria Street only to ourselves. Even without any cars parked on the street. It was more than perfect.
What made their Scotland engagement photographs even more special is that Gabriel proposed to Michela just a few days before our photoshoot on the Scottish Isle of Mull. As you can probably imagine she said yes and it made her insanely happy!

Victoria Street is one of the most amazing places in Edinburgh Old Town for a couple or engagement photoshoot. It’s absolutely one of a kind – historic, colorful and so atmospheric. You should consider it especially if you happen to be a Harry Potter fan, as its Edinburgh’s own Diagon Alley.
It made me super happy when I received an email from Michela and Gabriel with super sweet feedback. They loved the photographs just as much as I loved working with them. I’m really hopeful that our paths will cross again at some point!
