Adventure couple photoshoot in Glencoe

Last month I had the pleasure to photograph this amazing, inspiring couple from Glasgow. We were lucky to have met some cute deers and find a waterfall. It was a magical photoshoot in a magical place – the Scottish highlands.

There is nothing more magical for a Scotland elopement photographer than to have an opportunity to take photographs of couples in beautiful Scottish locations.

Magda & Michal – Glencoe engagement photoshoot

Glencoe is an absolutely perfect place for an elopement or engagement session in Scotland. Very atmospheric, dark, moody. There is no wonder why so many couples choose this place to elope or have their engagement photoshoot. As a Scotland wedding photographer, I consider it one of the top places to elope or propose!

Glencoe is located around 2.5 from Edinburgh so you can either have your photos taken during your stay there or on a day trip. Depending on the time of the year when you’ll be there, always search for the best light. The days are very long in the summer and the sun sets around 22:30pm. Whereas during autumn, the sun sets really quickly. Autumn in Glencoe is the most wonderful time of the year though. When it comes to your engagement or wedding photos, you will not be disappointed if you decide to have them taken in October or November!

The love story – Scotland adventure photo sessions

Magda and Michal met 9 years ago through her best friends. Btw, they both love photography!

And they were just friends for the first 3 years, they would bump into each other occasionally but they were both at different stages in life. They did fancy each other but that wasn’t the right time for them.

One day Michal asked Magda to pose for the photos which he needed for his photographic assignment at college.

And that was the moment when they looked at each other differently. At the end of 2012 it was obvious that they were drawn to each other, they wanted to see each other all the time, couldn’t stop talking.

Michal: 

I met Magda when I invited her in front of my camera, it was a photography project. Only then I had the chance to spend more time with her, talk to her without anyone being around, get to know her more. I was under the impression that there was this chemistry between us, every minute we spent together made me feel incredible. Despite her young age, I was impressed by how mature she was. Apart from that, she was also affectionate and tender, modest and hardworking, and in the hectic everyday life she would also be smart and sensible. We will soon be celebrating our 6th anniversary since we’ve been together. Days pass but we never slow down, we age side by side, get used to one another. We think similarly. It feels like we read each other’s minds. We know what the other person wants and desires, without words. We piss each other off sometimes, but most of the time I simply realise how lucky I am to be able to share my life with the most incredible lady I have ever met. I have 1001 ideas how to surprise her.

Magda: 

What I fell in love with was his sense of humour, his chivalry, being a gentleman. He always treats people with great respect. He has a big heart. Let’s not pretend he’s not insanely handsome, I loved stealing a glance at him. I began to realise that I would always put more effort in the way I looked before I knew I would see him. There is something about him that I knew I had never found anywhere else. There is a connection between us, a bond you can hardly ever notice between two people. When I come back to these moments I can see how much we’ve changed, we’ve grown up. When I met him I was 18 and he was 21. The whole relationship became more mature, we became stronger with every failure, we creates us. And it still feels the same, as if we only just met. Despite the ups and downs, neither of us would have ever exchanged what we have for anything else in the world. The best moments we have is when we lie next to each other, just before falling asleep, and we can’t stop laughing.
