Not often I get a chance to work with my favourite photographers in the world. I was over the moon when Anna, couples and wedding photographer based in Barcelona, Spain wanted to stand in front of my camera. I knew from the very beginning we would create something great and memorable.
The photoshoot couldn’t have been more perfect. Romantic Spanish evening, sunset, motorbike and such a badass couple.
Big thanks to Anna and her husband Alex for being super cool and for their dedication to create something one of a kind together. Thanks to Barcelona for being one of the coolest cities in Europe.
Engagement photoshoot in Barcelona – Barcelona photographer
Barcelona is a beautiful city. It was my third visit in the Spanish capital and I can’t wait to come back.
There are places in the world that I could never get tired of and Barcelona is definitely one of them. When I photographed my first wedding abroad it was actually last year in a Spanish vineyard and it is still one of my favourite weddings to date.

Alex & Anna – the love story in Barcelona
I asked Anna to tell me a little bit more about her and Alex, how they met and how they ended up living in Barcelona which is one of my favourite places in the world.
My hands down favorite love story began in the middle of the wild Arizona desert. I first saw Alex on the bus – we were supposed to work in the same resort during the summer student’s program. He got on, sat down a couple raws in front of me and I remember thinking to myself if he turns back to look at me he likes me. And right after that thought ran through my mind, he turned back and looked right at me.
I guess a week or so passed and we weren’t hanging out together too often. He confessed afterwards that he had been too scared to make the first step as I seemed quite a tough nut to crack (haha).Everything happened at a party. In the middle of the night he confronted me with that 3-rd year school phrase: you can be my girlfriend, if you wanna be my girlfriend. No kidding. So yeah, I guess I did!Alex dreamed to drive on route 66 since the very moment he had arrived to Arizona. He said he was gonna get a route 66 tattoo if that would happen. And it did happen (it had to!). We borrowed an old convertible Mazda Miata and went on our first trip. It felt like a dream.Eventually, summer had come to an end and we each ended up back in our countries with no intention to keep contact (too far away, huh?). But he still had that tattoo carved into his arm that reminded him of the desert and falling in love.We both moved on with our lives and after several months of silence, I got a Merry Christmas message. We reconnected at that point and he asked me if I’d want to meet him somewhere in Europe next summer. The following year was made of countless messages and hours of phone conversations, short visits to see each other in Europe and endless hope in the big future together. He proposed to me on a New Year’s night in Montenegro. By then we knew each other almost 1.5 years, but have physically spent only 9 weeks together – yay to the long distance relationship! :)The rest is history. We now live in Barcelona and we love reminding ourselves of the time when we met each other on the other side of the world.
