Everyone who knows me also knows that I absolutely love nature and my favourite colour is green. So I embrace every opportunity of photographing couples surrounded by green lanscapes and plants. So whether it’s an Edinburgh wedding photoshoot or a Copenhagen couple photos – I’m always up for it. Especially if it means that we’ll be surrounded by some beautiful and natural greenery.

I fell in love with the Copenhagen botanical garden immediately when I entered the park. And when Katharina turned out to be just as excited about the idea of Copenhagen couple photo shoot in the glasshouses I was over the moon.

The Copenhagen botanical garden consists of 27 glasshouses and the entire place covers an area of approximately 10 hectares. It looks both very impressive and beautiful. You’ll find it in the centre of Copenhagen.

Anyway, when I meet people like Katharina and her partner Martin I realise every time how lucky I am to work as a wedding and couple photographer. People I work with let me into their intimate parts of life to document their love. Isn’t travelling around the world and photographing couples and weddings the best job in the world? I truly believe that it is.

It gives us a unique opportunity to meet people who otherwise we wouldn’t have met. What is more, it also allows us to see so many wonderful places. Especially if our guides and people we photograph are local to the area! In this case we can explore hidden gems of every city.

Travelling makes me extremely happy and is a big part of my life. I do love making connections and meeting people from different places, listen to their stories and hear about their life.

Copenhagen love story – Katharina & Martin

We are a Danish couple based in Copenhagen where we have lived for several years now. Martin is original from the Northwestern part of Denmark though. He used to be a physiotherapist, but is now studying computer science and wants to combine health and tech in his future work. Katharina is from the area of Copenhagen, but had also been living and studying in Montréal, Canada before we met. Today Katharina is going all in on building her own business as a wedding photographer in Copenhagen.

We met in the virtual world on the app called Happn. Very modern and there is nothing fancy about our love story. So, we have now been together for four years later we live in our very own apartment in Frederiksberg in Copenhagen with 40 house plants. Also, we are ready to take the next step in our relationship – buying the 41st plant!
