I was super excited when Michael contacted me to let me know about his plans of proposing to his beautiful girlfriend Alora in secret and I was super happy when he booked me to photograph that special, intimate moment for them.
Edinburgh Old Town surprise proposal
Michael chose Ross Fountain for the proposal location and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
It’s located in Prices Street Gardens in Edinburgh’s city centre. The fountain was built and opened officially in 1872 and it’s been one of the iconic Scottish landmarks since then.
Mike and Alora – Edinburgh love story
Alora and I met in high school when we were 15 years old and have been together ever since.We are both currently college students that will be graduating this December. I chose to propose to Alora in Scotland because it seemed like the perfect place for this moment to happen because Edinburgh is such a magical city. We are both huge Harry Potter fans and what place is better to propose than where Harry Potter was written!I chose Natalia to be our photographer and capture this life changing event because her work is absolutely stunning! She definitely made capturing this moment very easy and will use her again for sure! We loved our trip to Scotland, more so than anywhere else we have ever been before, we will definitely be back.
