Mirthica is not only a warm and wonderful person, but also a very talented portrait photographer. She specialises in graduation and couple shoots and currently lives in California.

She spends most time between her homeland Sri Lanka, University of California in Berkeley and Scotland. 

What really impressed me about Mirthica is not only how much of a great friend she quickly became, but also how much of an incredible eye for detail she has. I really don’t like having my photographs taken, but the ones she took of me gave me a wow effect. I was so impressed with her skill of being able to show beauty in people. Mirthica is also great at finding the most beautiful and soft light for portraits and is so good at posing – and posing her models. So it was so unbelievable to hear that she got her first professional camera only recently. She’s been shooting like an absolute pro!

We had our photo shoot in Stockbridge on a very chilly and frosty Sunday morning. So don’t be fooled by her gorgeous summer dress, it’s really been freezing! But, as you can see, my models are absolute troopers. Mirthica wasn’t scared of the cold or snowy ground. She made this shoot a really great experience. Also, I was really glad that I had the opportunity to show her around Stockbridge. Stockbridge is my favourite area in Edinburgh and it always makes me happy when my clients choose it for their portrait, wedding or engagement sessions.

It’s an area I could never get bored of an I absolutely love photographing people in this place. Plus, it’s a walking distance away from another amazing place in Edinburgh – Dean Village!
