Skógafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in Iceland and without a doubt one of the most spectacular ones. It was the most amazing backdrop for a wedding photoshoot in Iceland. Every location in Iceland will take your breath away though.

Iceland is a wonderful place to get married, it will give you an unforgettable experience that will stay in your heart forever.
So, Iceland has been my dream bucket list destination for ages and I felt to happy not only to be able to visit this wonderful country, but also work with amazing people such as Sara and Sjonni. Also, although I know they look quite warm in the photos, it was in fact freezing… around 4 degrees. So if you’re planning to pose in a dress, please remember about a few pairs of socks and tights underneath your outfit!

Let me also stress the fact how incredibly lucky we were that evening…. there were only a few people around when me and my awesome friend Michalina were photographing this gorgeous couple!
Iceland is a very popular holiday destination these days so moments like this are something you’ll definitely be able to appreciate.
It’s also always a good idea to ask a professional photographer for advice when planning you elopement or photoshoot anywhere outdoors, because they will be able to recommend the best time of the day to do it so you can find the best light to appear in the photos. And as we know – beautiful light equals wonderful photographs. The soft light of golden hour is not always possible to find, but cloudy weather can add a moody look to your images which is amazing as well.
Kvernufoss waterfall photoshoot – Iceland wedding photographer
For the second part of our photoshoot we went to find Kvernufoss waterfall, which is an incredible 30-meters’ high waterfall hidden away in a gorge not far from Skogafoss.
The hike from a car park takes only around 15-20 minutes by the river. We had to climb up a few rocks while going down into the gorge. The views were absolutely stunning! We all enjoyed looking at surrounding landscapes.
